Don (Dongxiao) Liu, Medical Director
L.Ac., L.O.M., M.S., M.D.(China)
Dr. Liu received his M.D. degree from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese
Medicine (SHUTCM), China, in 1994, after successful completion of the university's
prestigious 5-year Traditional Chinese Medicine & Western Medicine program. Between 1994-1999, Dr. Liu
completed his residency in TCM at the SHUTCM-affiliated Shanghai Yueyang Hospital, one of the top three
TCM hospitals in Shanghai. He then worked as an attending physician at the same hospital until 2003 when
he relocated to the United States. Dr. Liu has also been a assistant professor and clinical instructor at the
SHUTCM since 1998. He earned his master's degree in Health Administration from Saint Joseph’s University in
Philadelphia in 2006.
Dr. Liu's experience includes working extensively in the area of pain management and infertility treatment. In
particular, he has special interest and expertise in the reproductive and gynecological conditions. He
believes that TCM provides natural and non-invasive methods to heal the body.
Dr. Liu is a licensed Oriental Medicine practitioner (L.O.M.)and licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in PA and NJ. He
is one of the few practitioners in PA who hold diplomats in both Acupuncture and Asian Bodywork Therapy
through The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He is a
member of RESOLVE, a national infertility association in the U.S., and a member of the Academy of TCM, the
only official TCM professional academy in China.
